Sir Isaac Newton calculated the world would end in 2060--but he may have been referring to the end of the age of Pieces/Virgo, and the beginning of the new age of Aquarius/Leo. We make no predictions as to when the next storm of giant meteors may strike the planet. Why did we use the date 2012? To get your attention. However, in 2007, "Comet Holmes" struck the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars and exploded, increasing a million time in brighteness and expanding to a diameter several times the diameter of the Sun.
