Something very unusual is happening in the Beautiful Wood. Strange noises are coming from the disused treacle factory. And slowly but surely everything is turning blue. And then a 'blue' cat enters the Beautiful Wood and is crowned King.
Dougal the lovable and temperamental dog investigates and realises the truth - the 'blue voice' has decided to take over the world. But what or who is the 'blue voice?' Neither Ermintrude the adorable cow, Bryan the snail, Dylan the rabbit, Mr Zebedee, Florence or the old gardener Mr Rusty will listen to what Dougal has to say. Will Dougal have to save the world on his own? It's his greatest challenge ever and includes the ultimate test of resisting a room filled with sugar.
