Godfathers of rock Metallica visit the studio for the first time in 12 years with tracks from
their new album Death Magnetic. Also in the studio are Tennessee foursome Kings of
Leon, who showcase tracks from their upcoming fourth album Only By The Night.

And making her UK TV debut, Italian born, French-bred singer-songwriter and now First
Lady of France, Carla Bruni performs a song or two from her recently released third
album, Comme Si De Rien N'était.

If that isn't enough, popstar in the making VV Brown makes an appearance, and New
Jersey-born Nicole Atkins makes her British television debut, and Paul McCartney and
Youth present a collaboration.

This file starts with a 20 second trailer that was shown at 9pm, consisting of
Jools Holland doing his usual introduction of the musicians on the show.
It then jumps to the Live show itself, starting at 10pm.

Presumably, the intervening hour was used to record the main Friday programme.

My BBC2 Freeview reception cut out for six seconds at the start of this recording.
The segment from 0:01:09.00 (frame 1725) to 0:01:17.68 (frame 1942) inclusive
was pasted in from a backup copy from BBC iPlayer. The video joined together
very well, the audio a bit less perfectly; and the cropping on the iPlayer copy
is a bit heavier than I'd like.
