Two men (riveting performances by Liam Neeson and John Nesbitt) struggle to come to terms with the murder of a fellow 19-year-old Catholic soldier years after the conflict that raged between Republican and Loyalist paramilitary groups, the British Army and the Royal Ulster Constabulary. The movie is an excellent commentary on the difficulty of forgiveness, the helplessness of letting go, and how hate and regret can meet and be resolved. It brilliantly portrays the anguish of the two men - one who hates and can't forgive another, and one who regrets and can't forgive himself

This little masterpiece provides an excruciating depiction of the agony of conscience – as portrayed poignantly by the two main actors. It may not be a pleasant experience, but it is an experience that will affect you, making this a movie that is both compelling and enjoyable while also being disturbing.
