I acquired this movie for my 9 year old niece, and she got a real kick out of the way that the characters interacted with one another in that teeny bopper way. To me as an adult it was watchable, and I did laugh at a number of funny scenes, particularly the opening scene with Monk and Mambo. You may enjoy watching it with your kids!
This movie is a funny interpretation of the fairytale world with an emphasis on the necessity of balance between good and evil. The main character, Snow White, is a teenage girl with little interest in anything beyond being hip, being noticed and hanging out with gal pals, Little Bo Peep, Red Riding Hood, and Goldi Locks. After a terrible trick is played on her which leaves Snow White holding the bag, she runs off - and learns what it really means to be loved and adored by the people she encounters, as opposed to the friends-of-the-week she had previously associated with. After learning the error of her ways, Snow White returns to her kingdom to live happily ever after. This movie has a smart and sweet message for young girls told in a clever yet straight-to-the-point way . The comedic stylings of the characters is cute and entertaining.
