The soft cover book has 72 pages with 182 colour photos, 31 B&W photos and 15 pages of 1:48. 1:35 and 1:24 scale plans with four Pak 40 guns featured, (1) Munster Panzermuseum, Germany, (2) Valkenburg in the Netherlands (3) Dutch Army Museum, Maaldrift, the Netherlands and (4) Zandoerle in the Netherlands.



The book again is split into three parts, the first 40 pages has many superb close-up shots of the four Pak 40s with the middle section having the scale plans followed by 16 pages with B&W action period action photos. Text is kept to a minimum with just a brief introduction and captions with each photo describing the part shown or the vehicle and location in the final section.



The walkarounds start with 10 pages covering the carriage and wheels with detailed close-ups of the details from different angles to give good overall coverage such as both sides of the wheels, the brakes, axles and lower cradle details.



Following this is another 10 pages on the split trail arms with again shots from various angles of the same part to give an excellent overall coverage. The details along the arms and the spades are particularly well covered with extreme close-ups of the spade details.



The main shield and lower gun cradle are shown next with more excellent close-up shots from various angles and this is followed by three pages with extreme close-ups of the muzzle brake again from all possible angles to show the details well.



Next comes 5 pages of extreme close-ups shots of the breech and rear gun cradle showing the breech details from all angles to again highlight the details very well and the next five show the gun mounting and gun controls in equal close-up that includes the equipment fittings on the inside of the gun shields.



Next there are 15 pages with 5 detailed plans, 7 pages of 1:24 scale plans and sectional drawings followed by 4 pages with 4 view 1:35 and 1:48 scale plans and sectional drawings. This is followed by 1:7.5 scale drawings of the various rounds used by the Pak 40 including the stencilling on the rounds and transport container. Finally there are side view 1:35 plans with sectional internal views of the Marder II, Marder III and Sd.Kfz.234/4 to add further useful info.



The final section is in B&W with numerous wartime action shots and a brief history of the Pak 40 development and deployment with most shots from the Russian and NW Europe theatres which give some excellent diorama possibilities as well as showing the gun details, camoflague and crew uniforms.
