Hi, my name is Ryan Patrick, I am a solo blues musician from a small town in Eastern Ontario, Canada in the area known as "The Ottawa Valley". I live with a mental illness called "schizo-affective disorder" and write deeply personal songs about my past experiences and day-to-day life. Everything from psychosis to CSA, isolation to anxiety.
To date, I have never performed my music live. I recently began work on my 9th CD to date, and in my opinion, my first one that counts.
I am releasing my music for free in an effort to lay the groundwork for a music career(knock wood). Over the next few years I hope to start moving around and playing areas like Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston and Ottawa.
The deal is: if you like the music on the sites, download the album. IF you like the album, seed and/or share with your friends.
I truly appreciate that you have taken the time to look at this, and please take a minute to have a look at one of my sites, to give yourself an idea of the music. Be aware that if you have small kids around, you may not want them to hear the music. I use some foul language, and I talk about issues and events that kids may be better off not being exposed to.
OH YEAH. I play blues. REAL BLUES. I don't play folk festival shit, and I'm no technical wizard. I play from the heart, by the ear, off the cuff and from personal experience. If you don't care about music by a crazy person, at least give it a chance cause it's unique and innovative(hopefully :p).
