Confidence man Harold Hill arrives at staid River City intending to cheat the community with his standard scam of offering to equip and train a boy's marching band, then skip town with the money since he has no music skill anyway. Things go awry when he falls for a librarian he tries to divert from exposing him while he inadvertently enriches the town with a love of music.
The Music Man has been split into a movie disc and an extras disc to preserve the image quality as much as possible.
The splitting of the disc, and removal of FBI warnings and company logos were done with DVDReMake Pro 3.14
The contents on the extras disc are untouched and contain:
*An introduction by Shirley Jones
*Right Here in River City - a 30 minute documentary, hosted by Shirley Jones
* Trailers for The Music Man and The Unsinkable Molly Brown
*Text pages with cast info, behind the scenes info, etc
The movie itself was shrunk with DVD Rebuilder Pro 1.08.1 using HC encoder at best quality and HIGH/LOW/TYPICAL Bitrates: 4487/786/3575 Kbs.
A Convolution3d(preset="movieHQ") filter was applied to reduce some grain and maximize image quality at the rather low bitrate. It *is* a long film.
The audio has been removed from the movie disc menus, because it was loud and annoying. It was only a tune from the movie, blasting away.
