Source: audio-only from PrisonPlanet.tv 448kbps/44khz video stream. Unforunately the pp.tv video file only lasted through the first 91 minutes (sans commcericals). The audio was extracted to .wav with VLC. The volume of the .wav was leveled with The Levelator. The .wav was encoded to a 64kb/s 44.1khz vbr mp3 with RazorLame (-b 8 -m m -h -V 5 -B 64). The commercials were cut with MP3DirectCut, and the result was ID3-tagged. To get the remainder of the show (~40 mins), I used the 64kbps commercial free pp.tv mp3. I leveled the volume the same way as the other part of the show, to make it consistent with the afforementioned file. I then merged the two. The result turns out smaller than the pp.tv mp3, with better volume, tags, and only a few MB larger than the other inferior-sounding podcast available elsewhere.
