The Crickets DVD was a promotional item that was to be given away with copies of El Cielo on tour. It was first given away by the band themselves during the March 2003 mid-way through the sno-core tour. Due to the fact that this was not well known at the beginning of the tour, and that it was not well advertised at the time, large amounts of people never got a copy. In an effort to make up for this, for a limited amount of time, anyone who spent $50.00 or more on dredg's webstore got a signed copy with their purchase.
The actual DVD consists of three sections, all accessed by selecting a different version of the dredg symbol. The first section is the band's Electronic Press Kit. The second is a long video entitled "An Elephant in Halong Bay" which begins with the El Cielo track "Brushstroke: An Elephant In The Delta Waves" and ends with "Halong Bay", a b-side from the El Cielo recording sessions. There is somewhere around 5-8 minutes of footage in between the two tracks consisting of various clips stuck together, some of the band, some not. The third section of the DVD is the music video for "Same Ol' Road".
