Sinhá Moça it's a 1953 brazilian film, produced by Vera Cruz and directed by Tom Payne, based on the Maria Dezonne Pacheco Fernandes homonym novell (1950).
The film tells the story about Sinhá Moça (Eliane Lage), daughter of the colonel
Ferreira (José Policena), a mighty master of slaves. In her return to small city of Araruna, Sinhá Moça knows and falls in love for Rodolfo Fontes (Anselmo Duarte), a enthusiast abolitionist. From then on, several conflicts happen among the three main characters and the slaves, culminating with a judgment involving abolitionists and enslavers.
