In last week's enjoyable opener the 'How hard can it be' question was answered with a definitive "very". Several of the would-be-maestro celebs frankly looked like they'd be happier as bus conductors, eliciting from the orchestra the most painful versions of Prokofiev we're ever likely to hear. After one student got the heave-ho, courtesy of a vote by the BBC Concert Orchestra, the remaining seven will tonight wave their batons again, but this time with the pressure of a live studio performance from BBC Television Centre. If the results are as chaotic, absurd and oddly heartwarming as last week, we're in for a treat.
