Plot:

Jimmy Rabbit Smith lebt mit seiner Alkohol-abhaengigen Mutter
und der kleinen Schwester in einem heruntergekommenen Wohnwagen.
Sein karges Auskommen verdient er sich am Fliessband, wo er von
einer Karriere in der von Afroamerikanern dominierten Rap-Szene
Detroits traeumt. Unterstuetzt wird Rabbit dabei von Kumpel
Future und Freundin Alex, die ihn gross herauszubringen versuchen.
Doch vor dem ersten Auftritt muss sich Jimmy zunaechst aus
Nervositaet uebergeben und dann bleiben ihm auch noch die Worte
im Hals stecken...
