This film is a tribute to every British soldier who fought at the Battle of Arnhem and an everlasting memorial to those who gave their lives. In 1945 survivors returned to the actual battlefield to re-enact an action in wich they had gained the admiration, even of the enemy.
The film produced entirely without the use of studio sets or actors and every incident was either experienced or witnessed by those who appear in the film. Original footage shot in 1944 is interwoven to produce a remarkable piece of cinema-history.
