THIS IS IT. The final Post-Crisis pack has arrived, as DC steams headlong into the chaos of Zero Hour: Crisis in Time, a five-issue weekly mini-series with backward numbering. The last issues prior to Zero Hour of virtually all DC Universe titles end with one or more pages of blank whitespace, to denote the rebooting of time itself. Due to this, this pack is a little larger than average; instead of ending with chronology number 20600, it concludes with Zero Hour #0, chronology number 20623.

One DC Universe title begins this pack, which was an odd decision given that within a month Everything Would Change. Regardless, a month before Zero Hour DC debuted the most successful Aquaman series to date, which ran 75 issues.

Vertigo treats us to a few launches, including the ongoing Invisibles (volume one), lasting 25 issues. The six-issue Vamps mini-series begins, and Vertigo\'s reprint of the old Epic Comics 12-chapter Moonshadow also starts. A four-issue television tie-in for Viper was published under the DC imprint, but is thus far unscanned.

Zero Hour resulted in the \"final\" issue of Deathstroke, the Terminator with issue #40 (it would, however, continue as Deathstroke, the Hunted with the same numbering). Another series really would end, yet still be replaced by an immediate sequel: L.E.G.I.O.N. closed up shop with #70, to be replaced by R.E.B.E.L.S. And three more titles really did end, and really actually ended, as Valor was cancelled with issue #23, Team Titans ended with issue #24, and Justice League International bowed out with issue #68. In a complete coincidence, one Vertigo title also bit the dust, as Kid Eternity v2 ended with #16.
