This National Geographic documentary shows the rival religions to early Christianity which were eventually defeated by incorporating them into Christianity. The documentary talks about the "miracle worker" Apollonius of Tyana, the "son of god" Augustus Caeser, the "mother of god" Isis, and the resurrected god (born of a virgin on December 25) Mithras. All of these religions were incorporated into Orthodox Christianity by Constantine and his succesors. It also talks about the Gnostic Jesus which was rejected by Christianity.
