This has been very much a labour of love (my first since collecting every single “Now thats what I call music “ album). Firstly my thanks have to go out to all the uploaders that supplied me with the “raw material” in the form of the original torrents.
As part of my labours I have run some software on some of the files to ensure that all will:
a) Convert succesfully to DVD using NERO
b) Will run as data files from a DVD on a stand alone Divx compatible player
c) Will run succesfully on my Iomega Screenplay.
What I have NOT been able to do is restore cropped credits or level and totally correct all audio tracks. Thus you will need to be ready on your TV volume control to up and down the levels depending on the episode. The sound quality from 1981 to 1989 is probably the worst since it appears to have been captured in a rather low bitrate mono (the source files were low quality mpgs that needed converting to Divx). If anyone knows a source of the 1981 to 1989 episodes with better audio please post a link and I will grab them. I HAVE checked, however, that audio is maintained whether you are converting to DVD or running on a stand alone Divx player (3 episodes for some reason did not originally play audio on my Iomega despite being OK on DVD conversion...this has been sorted).
I make no guarantees regarding anything else you wish to do with these files other than a) to c) above.
Enjoy the shows and please seed!!! My seeding may well be erratic for the first few days but I assure you it will be as much as I can spare until the torrent becomes self supporting.
