The name 'Geoffrey Pyke' may not mean much. Yet his unique mind helped win the war. Stars Dermot Crowley and Tim McInnerney.

This play is about an inventor (Geoffrey Pyke) who had all sorts of ideas, including one for a battleship made of ice. It's a fantastically well made radio production taken from my PVR off BBC7.

The playwright is Steve Walker.

Geoffrey Pyke was the first cousin of (the much younger) Magnus Pyke; a better known media figure of the 70s and 80s in the UK ... particularly for "Don't Just Sit There" - Yorkshire TV, a panel game in which 'celebrity scientists' answered questions from the general public about ordinary everyday problems ...
