Crown Court was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.

PERSIMMONS AND DISHWASHERS: REGINA v CURL AND CURL
Synopsis: Why have American date plums - persimmons - become very popular among bookmakers and clubowners in Fulchester? Are the rumours true that someone is handing out regular savage beatings then guaranting their safety if money was paid? Are brothers George and Arthur Curl the 'king of Fulchester's protection rackets'?
