Crown Court was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.

JUST GOOD FRIENDS: REGINA v BEAUMONT
Synopsis:Nigel Beaumont find himself on trial for blackmail, after he attempted to extort, or was offered, money in return for not publishing his book on the private lives of Sir Richard Jeffcoate MP and millionairess Stella Pickford. Is he guilty or did the rich and famous really pay for his silence?
