Crown Court was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.

Synopsis: When 15-year-old Mary Collins became pregnant she managed to disguise the fact for several months and gave birth, secretly at home, to a premature baby. A few days later the baby was found dead, buried in the garden. The police are convinced that the baby did not die from natural causes, but was murdered, and have charged the girl's father with the crime.
