Crown Court was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.

Synopsis: Navlika Patel and her brother Dinesh have run a fabric stall between them since their father died. Now, Henry Pegg, a nearby shop owner, accuses Dinesh of having stolen a roll of his cloth. During a scuffle Mr Pegg is stabbed. Now Navlika stands charged with stabbing him, and Dinesh is charged with theft.
