This is a remake of the original docudrama. The film in this was made by Peter Walker. He was asked by the BBC to create interesting programs. He came up with the idea of creating the the Docudrama and this was his first. It was originally named "Culloden",filmed in 1964, and has disappeared from the public domain. It was a brilliant piece of filming and still can be regarded as such today. This is a remake of the same docudrama. It has bee renamed Genocide at Culloden Moor as that is the truth of what really happened to the people of the highlands of Scotland. They were driven from their homes and lands and starved to death systematically, to wipe them off the face of the earth. The clans do still exist today, and will never forget what happened to their ancestors. Culloden moor is visited by today by many. It is a silent place not even birds sing there any more. It can be regarded in the same way as people regard Auschwitz today. All the actors in this docudrama are local people.
