3 Minute Wonder is a showcase for short films from new and upcoming directors on Channel4. They run each day Monday to Thursday, with the four films in the week linked thematically together. This week the subject is Foreign Correspondents where four foreign journalists who've come to the UK talk about their impressions of the country.

01 - The Smuggler I Met In Cardiff
"One Settler, One Bullet" is the slogan that rang in Mayenzeke Baza's ears as he was growing up in South Africa. For him white people could only be bad. But with the help of James, his film's titular smuggler, Mayenzeke discovers an amazing truth about white people and the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa.

02 - Visiting The Future
Jeff Williams and an entire community were thrown into chaos when the Rhonda valley coal mines were shut. Makela Pululu, a Congolese national living in South Africa, goes underground with Jeff to discover what the future could hold for South Africa, where mining is the mainstay of the economy.

03 - Food For Thought
Mabel Sanyu from Uganda is shocked to discover that people in Britain aren't all the slim, health-obsessed people she'd seen constantly featured in foreign glossy magazines.

04 - Never Left Home
Chandra Shekar came to England from India expecting Winston Churchill, cream teas and red telephone boxes. Instead he's shocked by the number of Asians he finds, particularly as his guide book says there are only 1.6 million. He embarks on a journey to find the real Britain.
