Day 6: Melodies and Malandra

With a new celeb in the jungle, it was more important than ever for today's
Bushtucker Trial to go well.

Yes, eleven became twelve tonight as Malandra Burrows dropped into the jungle -
almost literally. Suspended 150-feet above the ground, Matt and Lauren had to go
and rescue the girl with the help of a tightrope.

Which meant that the pressure was on Jason and Phina to deliver the goods in a
game of Operation.

But their reaction going into the trial was odd, to say the least.

Sometimes our celebs like to scream during the Bushtucker, occasionally they
have a little holler, but they never sing. Until tonight that is.

Because in one of the most musical - and messy - trials to date, Jason and Phina
made sweet music while we dumped an assortment of bugs, dirt and spiders all
over their heads.

As Phina tickled and teased the stars out of their various holes, she just
couldn't stop hitting the magnetic strip. And every time she did that we emptied
gunk all over Jason's head. Which is when the Technicolor one started singing.

"They are falling all over me, they are falling all over me," Donovan dittied.
"Bring on the maggots, bring on the f***ing toads. They are going up my bum, yes
they are..."

And they were going up his bum (Medic Bob verified that).

As the pair swapped over the pressure was then on 'Mr Can-Do'. With Phina having
got just two stars, Jason had to come up with results to make sure his fellow
campers didn't go hungry.

But he didn't start well.

Within seconds Phina was covered in fly pupae. Then a little more gunk, and then
some feathers. And then the actress started to sing. Yes, as beastie after
beastie rained down on her head, she started singing her favourite hymn.

And this heavenly song seemed to inspire Jason as he went on to collect an
impressive four stars - giving the camp a six-meal feast tonight.

Which will make David happy. Because according to the man he is shedding weight
faster than Jan is shedding tears. Yes, he's lost a stone in a week, his ring
doesn't fit him anymore, and he's perilously close to expiring. Or something
like that.

Elsewhere on Day 6, Toby got busted for peeing all over camp, and David was
genuinely in tears when he learned that our other celebs love him to pieces.
