Hikaru Utada [born January 19th 1983 in New York City, NY, U.S.A.], better known by her stage name Utada in America and Europe, and also known by her fans as Hikki, is a Japanese singer-songwriter, arranger, and record producer. Utada's official debut album in 1999, 'First Love', immediately became Japan's biggest-selling album in history and was certified 32× Platinum. Known best in Japan and internationally throughout Asia for her songs 'Automatic' and 'First Love', she was called by Time Magazine in 2001 "Diva On Campus," while attending Columbia University for a brief, career-break semester in 2001.

'Come Back To Me' is the first single released from Utada’s 'This Is the One' English album. The song was released to the public for streaming on the AllAccess web site on January 6th 2009 and subsequently on Utada's official web site MySpace on January 16th 2009. As of March 22nd 2009 the song has been airplayed on urban radio stations and 'Come Back To Me' has become Utada's most successful English, or otherwise, International single release in her native U.S. to date. The music video for 'Come Back To Me' was directed by Anthony Mandler and produced by production company Les Enfants Terribles. The video was filmed over two days on January 27th and 28th 2009. Utada has stated that the theme for the music video is fashion from the 1920s.
