You\'re Darn Tootin\' is a 1928 Laurel & Hardy short subject silent film, produced by Hal Roach and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

In the short, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy play band musicians who lose their band jobs and home and become street musicians.

The movie is notable for the final sequence, where Laurel and Hardy\'s private argument of shin-kicking and pants-ripping eventually involves the whole neighborhood. In the end all persons involved (in front of the ABC Restaurant), are without pants and kicking each others leg.

The phrase \"You\'re darn tootin\',\" when spoken, is meant to establish a similar belief to what the other party says (as in \"You\'re darn right.\")

The film was shown on the BBC Four programme Paul Merton\'s Silent Clowns in full with an original, specially composed, musical score.
