'Love Is A Losing Game' is a song written and recorded by English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse for her second album Back To Black. The track was chosen as the fifth, and likely final, single from the album. The single is more reminiscent of material from her debut album Frank. The single was released on December 10th 2007 in the United Kingdom. The song was added to BBC Radio 1's playlist on 7 November 2007. The song is the lowest-charting of Winehouse's Back to Black singles, peaking at UK No.46. When the single was released, 1.7million copies of the album had already been sold in the UK.
A video shoot was set up for 'Love Is A Losing Game', reportedly costing £70,000 at Pinewood Studios, however, due to Winehouse failing to turn up to the shoot, two alternate music videos were released. The first music video released for 'Love Is A Losing Game' is a montage video, which includes photographs of Winehouse alongside live performance clips of the song. The second clip is an entirely live video, taken from her I Told You I Was Trouble live performance DVD. This is the first video.
