The English Country Music Weekend is a venerable institution which is basically a two day long music session, with the odd workshop or talk. It is a source of inspiration for anyone interested in traditional English dance music, because not only can you always find a new tune or two, but the quality of musicianship is second to none.
We’ve posted these recordings because some of us have found them great for learning new tunes from, and reminding us how much fun traditional English music should be.
The 2008 ECMW was in Whimple, Devon.
More details about the recordings can be found on the Coventry Traditional Session website at: http://www.covtrad.org.uk
