Synopsis :

Sathi Leelavathi is one of the Kamal Haasan-Crazy Mohan combo\'s most successful ventures. For a change, Kamal Haasan is not the hero of this movie. He plays a supporting character as an orthopaedician speaking a Coimbatore Tamil accent, with Kovai Sarala as his wife. This movie is directed by Balu Mahendra who, a decade back gave the memorable \'Moondram Pirai\'(Remade as \'Sadma\' in Hindi) with Kamal. Sathi Leelavathi is a joy ride throughout. The first half is rip-roaring and the second half has its share of sentiments, family bonding and of course a happy ending. Later it was remade as \'Biwi No.1\' in Hindi starring Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan.
