PLOT:

Der Traum eines jeden Teenagers in einer amerikanischen
Kleinstadt. Fliehen, raus aus der Provinz, rein ins
Grostadtleben, Karriere machen, beruehmt werden, auf eigenen
Beinen stehen. Das ist auch die Idee von Violet Sanford
(Piper Perabo) aus einem Kaff in New Jersey. Nur 42 (!)
Kilometer von New York macht sie wie Ihre Mutter diesen
grossen Schritt in der Hoffnung, Songschreiberin zu werden -
und stolpert ueber ihre eigene Naivitt und die Angst, auf
der Buehne zu stehen. Doch sie lernt schnell, und nach einer
ausgeraubten Wohnung und vielen Enttaeuschungen bleibt ihr
nichts anderes uebrig, als auf andere Art Geld zu verdienen:
Als Coyote in der Nachtbar Coyote Ugly. Schnelle Drinks,
heisse Songs und Tabletop Dancing sind nicht Violets Welt,
und mehr als einmal gibt ihr ihre Chefin Lil (Maria Bello)
noch eine Chance. Und zumindest diesen Job schafft sie, und
auch einen Verehrer zu bekommen, Kevin Mr. O'Donnell
(Adam Garcia). Aber da waren immer noch ihre Traeume ...
