Vince Watson Derrick May's called him the future of Detroit techno, but Vince says he's just living his passion and that is to make music. Having studied classical and electronic music all his life, Vince not only can DJ, but brings a whole live element to each of his performances that takes everyone, including himslef, on a unique journey everytime. In his studio in Scotland, he has been working away on his album for Laurent Garnier's F Comm label where he is looking at fusing jazz sensibilities and sounds to techno music. A friendly guy, Vince loves to meet new people when he travels, so go up and say hi when he does his first tour of Australia.
Bookashade Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger are the two men who make Booka Shade. Starting off as a synth pop duo in the early nineties, the pair quickly discovered trance and techno. The two changed their focus to club music, and the Booka Shade that we now know and love began to take shape. Partners in the label Get Physical with DJ T and M.A.N.D.Y., Booka shade have released their 2 great albums Momento and Movements and have a 3rd one in the works to be released next year. Mainly performing as a live band, Arno and Walter have departed from the usual in creating a new DJ Kicks Dj mix for !K7 which has just been released. They've also put together a mix especially for triple j's Mix Up - so enjoy or catch them playing at:
