The fans filling the seats in the small venue were dressed as ancient Romans, doctors, maids and nerds. A ballerina, a movie star and a college graduate smoked on the venue's patio while monsters from the nearby haunted mazes occasionally and unexpectedly ran by.

For some it's an escape from everyday life, for the musicians of Opus Humanus, it is life. With influences ranging from classical to black metal it's sometimes hard to find common ground but these four have done just that. Taking progressive and bluesy guitar parts with a minimalist yet, driving rhythm section and topping it all off with powerful, emotion laden lyrics, this band is sure to satisfy a wide variety of people around the globe.

Opus Humanus was formed the summer of 2006 in Canyon Lake, California, When Jake Henricksen, Chris Bare, Brennen Meeks, and Morgan Ingersoll's paths crossed, blazing a trail in indie alternative rock music few have tread. Compared to The Doors, Foo Fighters, Incubus and even at times Pink Floyd, Opus Humanus is widely accepted as being at the forefront of other local acts. With powerful songwriting, chest pounding audio and technical lighting effects, Opus Humanus provides an experience that always leaves the audience wanting more.
