The group Lzy (in english Tears) emerged in 1996 and is one of the leading pop-rock bands in Poland. They have publicized 6 albums so far; 2 of which: “W zwiazku z samotnoscia” and “Nie czekaj na jutro”, have become platinum album records, and 2 others: “Jestes jaki jestes” and “The Best Of 1996-2006” have become gold album records.
In 2003 Lzy won the audience award on the Premiere Competition of the Polish Song Festival in Opole, singing “Oczy szeroko zamkniete”.
The “Wprost” - the most popular political weekly in Poland has recognized Lzy as the most important group of the Polish musical market alongside the Ich Troje group.
In January 2004 the group was 2nd in the National Eurovision Song Contest. During the Festival in Opole, in June 2004 Lzy won two “Superjedynka” music awards for the group of the year and the song of the year “Oczy szeroko zamkniete”. The group has won many others prizes like “Telekamery”, “Mikrofony Popcorn” and few others.
In 2005 the band Lzy was one of the biggest stars of International Sopot Festival.
A new, 6th album of the group, “The Best Of 1996-2006” released in 2006 became Gold after three weeks in stores. In 2006 Lzy released the first dvd included the most important moments of their history.
The singer of Lzy, Ania Wyszkoni, is one of the most charismatic and most popular artists on the Polish musical scene.
Totally sales of Lzy’s albums reached 350.000 copies (The Gold status in Poland is 15.000 copies). All the albums were released by their own music company A.A. Lzy.
The best hits of Lzy are: „Oczy szeroko zamkniete”, „Gdybys byl” „Agnieszka juz dawno..”, „Narcyz sie nazywam”, „Jestem jaka jestem”, „Puste slowa”, „Niebieska sukienka”, „Anastazja, jestem”.
The group plays over 100 concerts a year; they have toured successfully USA and Canada.
