They have toured with the legendary band “Fu Manchu”. After only having one full length album released. Now it is time for the next step in Truckfighters way to become “big”. The new album “Phi” was released Oct 8th for your pleasure…
Yes, Truckfighters from Örebro (SWE) have, in recent time, raised to be one of the world’s most highly acclaimed bands within alternative rock – fuzzrock. This year started off with finishing the recording of their forthcoming album “Phi”, and continued the best possible way opening up for US fuzzrock legends Fu Manchu on their Europe tour, doing 21 gigs together all over the continent playing venues with capacities from 500-2000 people! This tour took place in May and was a milestone in the bands history. They also toured AGAIN with Fu Manchu in the autumn, this time it was 14 gigs together and also they got the chance to hit the UK.
When Truckfighters were formed back in the days of 2001 they had a bunch of musical directions and influences. Their intention was to make fresh music with a solid foundation in the heavy rock legacy. The band has never been afraid to mix different styles and try unconventional ideas while song writing.
The music became as heavy as it gets without being classic metal. It is a unique take on modern rock.

Truckfighters prime element is live where they fully bloom. With a kind of raw energy they explode transferring their power to the audience.
In 2007 the band did more than 60 gigs all over Europe…
“Phi” is Truckfighters second full length album. Prior to this record the band released the full length “Gravity X”, have participated on two split records and three collections. Both albums have been received with arms wide open by trade press / fanzines.
Truckfighters is a band on the brink of stepping with both feet out of the underground.

Three men came cruising in the desert, all from different directions, different places and from different pasts. They didn’t know where they were heading or why. Somehow though, they knew they had to stop at the next Gas-Station.

Oz arrived first in his Mustang 68’ convertible. He was almost out of fuel. He filled the tank, sweating from the heat of the sun. He wasn’t worried, he knew what he needed and went inside to buy some relaxing Whiskey. Oz always drank whiskey when he hadn’t been able to sing and play his electric fuzz bass for a while. Pezo sat in his truck. He turned right and stopped at the station just beside Oz’s Mustang 68’. He jumped out and sat down on the front, enjoying the sun. Feeling relaxed he started playing drums in the air and on his own tattooed body. Pezo always did that when he hadn’t been able to pound on any real drums for a while. Dango drove in at the station. He parked his 18-Wheeler in the sand, under the burning sun. Stepping out, he grabbed his acoustic guitar and went for the relative coolness of the shadows behind the truck. There he started to play some relaxing hymns. Dango always did that when he hadn’t been able to play his electric fuzz guitar for a while. Hearing the hymns Pezo altered his drumming style and played along on the front. Oz came out, feeling great with a half-full bottle of Whiskey in his hand. Hearing the guitar and the drumming in perfect harmony he pulled the bottle up as a microphone and started to sing…
Truckfighters were formed once and for all, somewhere in the barren Mexican desert, under the heat of a burning sun.

A few months later the band was out jammin’ in the desert, as they usually do on Thursday afternoons. This time something was different though. At first no one could say exactly what it was but after a while the distant roar from an engine could be heard…

Fredo pulled the gas and accelerated. He had been on this “borrowed” Harley since early morning, running from justice. Now he had almost reached his goal; the peace and quietness of the desert. He looked around and all he could see was sand, sand in every direction. Paradise in Fredos eyes. But then something appeared besides the road ahead, just below the horizon. Fredo didn’t know it was like a sixth sense guided him he just had to investigate. The band jammed on accompanied by the engine sound, Fredo stopped to listen, was amazed and couldn’t resist pulling out his acoustic guitar. Smiling he joined the jam. The jam got hotter as the air got cooler, suddenly everyone knew Fredo had to join the band…
The new Truckfighters were formed in the cold desert night under the full moon.
