The band's second single, recorded in June 2002 with friend Rob Fisher at Opus Studios in Grayshot, was released in August of that year, again on Bossmusic. The band came to Rob after an attempt to record the song with Oxford rockers Goldrush was abandoned. It received bad reviews from the music press, but reached number 86 in UK charts, making it their biggest hit so far, and the video enjoyed similar success in the MTV2 chart, eventually cropping up at number 1 in December, after the band's tour with Hell Is For Heroes.
Stux An old favourite, an earlier version of which can be heard on the promo the band released through internet music label Peoplesound.
Stealing Is Easy A re-working of an older song called Dreyfuss, this was taken from the session the band had done with Mark at EMI studios the previous year.
Banner Held High A big live favourite, this was considered for the A side, and was recorded by band-chum Rupert Christie at his home studio in Espom.
Coward Jamie Lenman changed the words on 'Stealing is Easy' from 'fuck around' to 'mess around' when it raised eyebrows with their plugging company.
Jamie, Jon and Mark can be heard singing and talking in the background at the end of the track.
The lyrics 'I like sleeping, I like eating, I like food and I like bed' were inspired by the lanky ex-drummer's lifestyle.
The video features friends and family including Jamie's Mum, Dad, Sister and Brother in Law, Manager Barney Jeavons and his family, and members of bands like Geisha, Fluid Drive, Septembre, Kaballah, and even Mega City Four!
The estate agent seen in the video is actually Clare ?, the band's former plugging agent, and features original drummer Mark behind the kit.
The house in the video used to be owned by Jamie's parents.
