Dead by April is a metal band formed in February 2007 in Sweden. They are currently signed to Universal Music, as of 2008.

The band has toured with the festival called Close-Up Made Us Do It, with Dark Tranquillity and Engel. The band has also played at several other festivals last year, but they are also booked this summer for Metaltown, Hultsfred Festival and many others. They are playing their first show in the United Kingdom at the Barfly in Camden, London on the 27th of May.

Their first single Losing You was released 6th of March, 2009 at their MySpace. The song gained attention to the band by being background music to Expedition Robinson 2009.

The band has released a demo in 2007 and another in 2008, and they both leaked out to several peer-to-peer-sites. Not much are known about these demos, though.

In 2008, the band won two awards, both for Best Newcomer, on \"Swedish Metal Awards\" and \"Bandit Rock Awards\"

On the 13th of May, the band will release their debut album called \"Dead by April\", which will contain 13 songs. Eleven of which are remastered old demo-songs, with the two other being new ones.
