Notes: I downloaded this show from a BNL ftp site in SHN format 4+ years ago. Since lossless audio and the SHN format were new at the time, the show came with separate SKT files for each SHN (this was before the option to append seek tables to the SHNs themselves was available). Because of this inconvenience, as well as the poor compression ratio of SHN, I decided to convert the show to FLAC. Before doing so I corrected another problem with the original WAV files - the volume was much too low. So I normalized everything to 0 dB using Cool Edit Pro 2.1 (with limiting enabled to prevent clipping). Finally, I renamed the files to conform to recent naming conventions.

As for the show itself, it sounds pretty good, if a bit bass heavy. It's not the best recording in the world, but certainly not the worst. All of the instruments and vocals are clearly audible. I'd give it a B+. The performance is great, with a lot of energy and some hilarious banter/improvs. I was there, so maybe I'm biased. But it is a great show.

From the original text file:

"All song and solo titles from stage setlist, Ed side.

Banter titles are purely the creation of the recorder, Jason Menzies.

Overall, this is not one of my best shows but popular demand was overwhelming, so I decided to release it anyway. I know on my computer it sounds pretty bassy but on my Surround Sound home theatre it sounded pretty OK, I just had to turn it up a bit louder than normal."
