Raw and fast, larrikin metalcore unit with socially-aware lyrics from Brisbane with a history stretching back to a band called the Mystery of Sixes that featured Jobson and was famous as the only Australian act ever to be signed to the Alternative Tentacles label. While the Dreamkillers sound lurched closer to hardcore than to metal the band nonetheless gained a sizeable following among the metal crowd, particularly in their home state although forays across the border always proved successful. The Dreamkillers' music was often aggressive, often humourous and live shows were energetic with displays of full frontal nudity from Jobson a common feature. The band formed in 1991 with Paul McCullum on drums, Terry McDougall playing bass and Sid Roberts as second guitarist along with Jobson and Witcher and recorded a brace of scorching EPs. They supported the likes of Body Count before undergoing numerous line-up changes which saw Tstdmanin and Smith enter the picture. The Dreamkillers had all but officially disbanded when they were picked up by Roadrunner Records, then recovened as a four piece for the Character Building Hell Trip album with Lindsay Beasley from Abhorrent behind the kit, only to split for good shortly afterward.
