Assassin is a French hardcore rap group.
The pioneering group was formed in 1985 by Rockin' Squat and Solo. Later, Doctor L joined them, as well as DJ Clyde and the American SwizzieRoc.
True to their musical and lyrical roots, Assassin are primarily interested in social criticism and uncompromising music.

Rockin' Squat is Jean-Pierre Cassel's (movie director) son and brother of Vincent Cassel (actor). He has tried for more than 15 years to elevate the mind of the ghetto, similar to KRS-One or Chuck D in America.
His music promotes the positive thinking and educational elements of hip hop.
