Ý Guy Maddin (Sullivan Brown) reluctantly returns to his Þ

Ý and discovered that Maddin's inventor father performed Þ
Ý outré scientific experiments on the orphans. In black and Þ
Ý white, with title cards, plus narration by Isabella Þ
Ý Rossellini. In the film's opening weeks, some showings Þ
Ý included live narrators (such as Crispin Glover, Lou Þ
Ý Reed, Barbara Steele), an orchestra, a castrato, and Þ
Ý costumed sound effects techs.
