QuickTime Pro v126.96.36.199 (without iTunes) [see website for features]
Completely unattended setup
I use these in a WinRAR SFX installer, but I am sharing them as an uncompressed folder to make what you are downloading absolutely transparent (because I personally do not like downloading compressed archives; you just never know what you're really gonna get).
Just run the CMD file \"quicktime_unattend.cmd\"; when the CMD window closes you will know it is done.
The following commands are run by the script/batch file:
<pre class="nfo">@ECHO OFF
ECHO Installing QuickTime 188.8.131.52 Pro
QuickTimeInstaller.exe /quiet /qn /norestart
DEL "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\QuickTime\PictureViewer.lnk"
DEL "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\QuickTime\QuickTime Read Me.lnk"
DEL "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\QuickTime\Uninstall QuickTime.lnk"
DEL "%allusersprofile%\Desktop\QuickTime Player.lnk"
DEL "%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\QuickTime Player.lnk"
taskkill /F /IM qttask.exe
I've been using this on Windows XP for the last couple years. I'm not sure how everything will work on Vista. Vista users should give each other feedback (the installer will work, but I'm not sure about the activation and shortcut deletion).
