Here is a codec pack for all versions of windows. After you install this you will be
able to play almost all video files through Windows Media Player. You have to go into
the settings of WMP [ tools - options - file types ] check select all, apply, ok.

Then your set ! If ever asked what to open a video file with ( it will happen occasionally )
Tell it to always use WMP. No third party video players needed anymore. Including dvd software.

The only type of file it has been unable to do so far for me is a HD ( VERY HD ) video type
straight from a HD camcorder. I found a way to make it play, but wont post it here.

Just double click VistaCodecs _v447 to install. If you have x64 software also install x64Components_v126.

Yes, its called vistacodecs but it works for all windows.

Restart PC. Your done.
