If you have backed the media up to DVD, simply restart the torrent with the meta file from here. Then stop the client after it has created the folders with the incomplete data.
Insert your DVD with the media backed up. Re-fill the folders with the media files from your dvd by copying to the folders created by the client eg. "uTorrent". it's important you use the folder names created by the torrent client. Also, When you burn to dvd/cd, please don't change media names so that you can easily re-seed for the community.

If you are using a mac or linux pc, you must change the permission of the media files after copying from dvd to harddrive.

CHANGING The permission
it must be "read & write".
On the mac, right click the file and go to "info". select read and write.
On linux, from a terminal
"su", "cd /media.directory/media.zip", "chown username:username *.*"
