The film is about Béla Biszku, one of the commanders of the revenge wave, which followed the revolution of 1956 in Hungary. Between 1957 and 1961 Biszku was the minister of internal affairs, who at the conclaves of the MSZMP KB (Internal Committee of Hungarian Socialist Workers Party) made speeches demanding the courts of Hungary to make more serious and physically harming verdicts. His words were followed by actions: judges who didn\'t comply with Biszku\'s rules were replaced.
The revolution lasted 13 days and resulted in that nearly 300 persons were executed, 20,000 were taken to court and 200,000 fled the Hungary.
The political revenge was much more brutal than for the revolution of 1848-49, for WW I. or for WW II. altogether. Béla Biszku since 1989 leads a sequestered life, and never before made a statement regarding his political actions.
The filmmakers succeeded in making him speak, and ask him if he feels sorry for what he did.

(The film was banned by the daughter of Béla Biszku before it premiered. This was taken up by the media, which just helped to achieve
a greater public awaremess. Within days of the proposed premiere the Parliament was discussing the case, resulting the ban being
lifted and the film to be shown in cinemas. Now it\'s released on DVD. - the translator)

A film Biszku Béláról, az 56 utáni véres és kegyetlen megtorlások egyik irányítójáról szól. Biszku 1957 és 1961 között volt belügyminiszter, az MSZMP KB zárt ülésein többször felszólalt annak érdekében, hogy a bíróságok súlyosabb ítéleteket hozzanak valamint több fizikai megsemmisítést követelt. Szavait tettek követték, amelyik bíró nem engedelmeskedett, azt leváltották. Miközben az országot rabláncra fűzték, a forradalom tizenhárom napjáért kivégeztek közel 300 embert, bíróság elé állítottak húszezret, miközben kétszázezren elmenekültek az országból. Sokkal kegyetlenebb volt a megtorlás, mint 1848-49-ért, mint 1919 után, vagy a II. világháborút követöen összesen.
Biszku Béla 1989 óta visszavonultan él és soha senkinek sem nyilatkozott korábbi tetteiröl. A film alkotóinak sikerült öt megszólaltatni, megkérdezni töle, hogy bánja-e és bocsánatot kér-e a történtekért.
