Description

Cheese And Egg (Bryan Pringle) is the leader of a gang of dustmen.

He's in charge of Smellie Ibbotson (John Barrett), Heavy Breathing (Trevor Bannister), Eric (Tim Wylton) and Winston (Graham Haberfield).

The 'enemy' is the inspector from the Corporation Cleansing Department, Bloody Delilah (John Woodvine, later Brian Wilde).

Typical PERIOD comedy with humour that needs intelligence to digest.

The Dustbin Men's working-class humour outraged Mary Whitehouse at the time it was broadcast and it could probably be rightly described as a less-adult and more amusing precursor to the early-90s hit series 'Common As Muck'.

UNSUITABLE FOR THOSE OF A PC NATURE, The Blair Babes Club or members of the Mary Whitehouse Fan club.
